Our first Original Piece

 

Weightless is a custom piece we created to hang your coats and put on your shoes. Designed to fit the aesthetic of the home it was placed into, it has as little impact on the sightlines from your front door. The chosen wood was a lightly figured maple which looks beautiful darkened to match some other pieces in the home. We loved it so much we made one for ourselves, featuring a flowing resin river with carribean blues and greens with just a hint of metallic flake.

Layout is Everything

 

Epsom Place was a joy to renovate. As a much newer construction to our previous projects we faced different problems than in the past. A common issue with many homes is that often we find the strictly defined spaces of old don’t allow for the flexible lifestyles families live today. Epsom required changing the windows, moving and opening the rear entrance, changing where you enter the basement and of course opening the sightlines through the common areas of the home.

1920's To The Modern Style of Today

 

65 Hespeler was our first major project we undertook as On the Flip Side Renovations. This was a 1920's house that had been neglected over the last 50 or 60 years. This house was in need of essentially a complete gut and redo, with some layout changes to make the house flow better from one area to another.
